Mr. Leslie has served as Chairman of Ascendant since March 2002 and as a Director since July 2001. 

Previously, Mr. Leslie served as one of the key executives and a shareholder of The Staubach Company.  While at The Staubach Company, he helped establish the company’s initial strategy, its organizational structure and the expansion of its offices and services.  He served as its Chief Financial Officer (1982–1996).  He was appointed to its Board of Directors in 1988 and was President and COO form 1996-2001.  During his tenure as President, the company grew in excess of 35% per year and shareholder value increased dramatically.  He also was an officer and director of many of the subsidiaries and affiliated companies of The Staubach Company.

As a result of the many enterprises established above, he has been involved with entrepreneurs and emerging companies consistently during his career and has been instrumental in the creation of over fifty companies.  His role in these enterprises has varied from accessing capital to setting strategic plans to establishing operating procedures.  In addition to The Staubach Company, these companies have included Columbus Realty Trust, Amicus Partners, Sebring Capital Corporation as well as Ascendant Solutions, Inc.

Mr. Leslie serves on the Board of Directors for Stratus Properties, Inc. as well as several private companies.  He was previously a board member for Forum Retirement Partners, LP, Columbus Realty Trust, Wyndham International, Inc., and Amresco Capital Trust.  He also is an advisor to several private company Boards of Directors.

Mr. Leslie is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business.
