Ms. Bruce joined Ascendant in 2008. Ms. Bruce serves the Company as Controller of Ascendant, where she has developed and implemented policies and procedures and is responsible for financial reporting of Ascendant’s portfolio companies.
Ms. Bruce has significant experience in financial reporting and accounting having served various roles for public and private companies, including SEC reporting, financial accounting, audit, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and tax preparation.
Prior to joining Ascendant, Ms. Bruce held various positions including Policies and Procedures Manager for Dresser Inc., the SEC Reporting Manager for Dean Foods, Financial Services Consultant for Tatum LLC, Audit/Tax manager for a local CPA firm and other accounting and system project positions for mid-size publicly held companies in the retail, utilities and software industries. Robin began her accounting career in the audit division of Ernst & Young.
Ms. Bruce holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Science in Accounting from UT Dallas and a BBA with majors in engineering and business from Texas A&M University. Ms. Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas
